Meet the C.Me Heirloom Tomato candle (or Heritage Tomato) - crafted from an actual tomato to give it the most realistic of effects. Crafted using the C.ME unique wax blend and vibrant colours. Perfect for the dinner table, the fruit bowl or to be lit and enjoyed for any of your bougie rituals.
This candle was inspired by the Batala Tomato, the Greek tomato - an ancient gem. Sweet, full of flavour and will quite literally collapse under its own weight within a few days of being picked. There were no tomatoes in ancient Greece or even ancient Italy - they didn’t arrive in Europe until the 16th century, which seems outrageous! I have many memories of tomatoes and wanted the Heritage to be one of the core candles here at C.Me. From hot summer days in Cyprus, eating the sweetest tomatoes along with salty cheese. Then there is the memory of raiding my nanas greenhouse in England - still today, if I am sad, sick or craving health, I’ll turn to tomatoes. In their early foray in Europe they were sometimes called ‘Love Apples’ and were viewed as exotic and adventurous!

All C.ME candles are created using ethically sourced materials that are safe and non-toxic. As they are hand poured, you’ll sometimes find minor irregularities, but I feel these add to the character of the candles!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Candles by Conscious Me are crafted with organic materials using artisanal hand-processes, so no two items are exactly the same. As natural materials, they can be expected to change over time and in exposure to the elements. To best preserve the beauty and longevity of any of these candles, special care is recommended to maintain their optimum condition. We can suggest the following special care instructions.
To ensure a clean and burn, ensure that there are no drafts in your room from open windows or doors. To avoid soot and smoke, trim candle wicks regularly to approximately 6mm.
Never leave lit scented candles unattended. Keep lit candle away from curtains, children and pets.
Always protect the surface on which your candle is to rest when lit with a candle tray.
Do not burn your candle all the way down, always leave at least 5mm of wax at the base.
RITUALS
Place your Heritage Tomato Candle on a flat surface and on a candle tray (for stability and to make sure that your furniture doesn’t get damaged). Take a seat in front of it and take a moment to really look at your candle, take in the colour, the details, pick it up and take in its texture and weight. Pop it back down and close your eyes. Light your candle. Watch your candle as it warms up, taking in the flickering light. Take some deep breaths and start to picture what it is that you are wanting to call in with your Heritage Tomato Ritual. Picture what it is, picture how you’ll feel. Picture how it will enhance your life. Picture how you can make steps to move towards these things.
You can also use a notebook and write out what it is that you are wanting to manifest.

A clean, non-toxic candle blended in a natural soy and NZ beeswax base with a lead-free, unbleached 100% cotton wick and made blend of safe synthetic dye and naturally-derived ingredients. Hand-poured in New Zealand, in small batches. Please note that because these are made in small batches, it can take 3-4 days before dispatch.
