ABOUT CONSCIOUS ME

CANDLES HAVE NEVER BEEN

SO FUN

/CONSCIOUS/ ADJECTIVE:

AWAKE, THINKING AND KNOWING WHAT IS AROUND YOU. TO BE CONSCIOUS OF SOMETHING

HELLO THERE

Iā€™m Kathryn,

Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher. Health Coach. Candle Maker.

GET A LITTLE BOUGIE.

I love candles and I adore rituals. It was from here that the idea of Conscious Me candles started to form. As a meditation and mindfulness teacher (and being a self-confessed candle addict) I use candles a lot. It was as I was training to become a meditation teacher that I started to create and make my own candles. I wanted colour and fun. I wanted candles that were little works of art and that made me smile.

I started to also think about the things that I loved, as I started making them when we were in the grips of lock-down. Travel, nostalgia were all front of mind. I thought of the countries that I grew up in, the UK, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and here in NZ. It was looking out at my lemon trees one day that I wondered if I could make a lemon candle - the rest as they say is history.

BUT MAKE IT CLEAN.

The candles are handcrafted in small batches using some of the most beautiful materials. They are crafted from natural soy wax with lead free, cotton wicks. They are free of phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde and they are vegan friendly and cruelty-free.

The Orchard Collection is inspired by nature and they are molded from real fruits and vegetables, resulting in a collection that is both visually striking and one-of-a-kind. Each candle captures the essence of orchards found from the places of my childhood.

For the Antiquities, I call on the Ancients so that you can bring a little history to your home. I love history, I adore it. There is something a little special about having a piece of history in your home. I love using bright and bold colours (I even think that the gods and goddesses would approve!) to bring a bougie-ness to them.

Using ancient candle making traditions and handcrafted in small batches at my Auckland studio, these candles are always safe and cruelty-free.
